Wooden Storage Crates for CD's, LP's, 45's and Cassettes (All Stackable)

Crate Assembly Instructions

Parts included:
Crate typeSidesSlatsScrews
Album2 (13 x 13)936
452 (7 1/2 x 7 1/2)624
CD & Cassette2624

Tools needed:
Phillips screwdriver
Wood glue (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Take one of the sides and lay it on its edge
  2. Take one of the slats, attach it to the far right top edge of the side panel with a screw, and line it up with the pre-drilled hole. If you have wood glue put a bead of glue on the slat. Then screw it down, it will make a tighter bond.
  3. Take another slat and repeat the process as above. The slats should be even with the outer edge so it does not hang over. The edge of the slats should be even with the outside edge of the side panel. This is the bottom of the crate.
  4. Place the crate on its side with the bottom facing away from you. Take another slat and attach it to the two sides with screws provided. The slat should be even with the outside edge of the side panel and all the way to the top of the crate.
  5. On the large LP crates, you should use a slat as a spacer. Do not attach this slat, but lay another next to the spacer slat and fasten it down with the glue (optional) and screw. All slats should be even with the outside edges.
  6. Remove the spacer and turn the crate on the side you were working on in step five (5).
  7. Repeat the instructions from step five (5), taking care to place the slats evenly with the outside and top edges.
  8. Flip the crate upside down, so the bottom is facing up. Place the remaining slats between the slats on the bottom with an even space on each side of the slats. Fasten it down with the glue (optional) and screw.
  9. Put the slats on three sides. The LP crates use (3) slats on each side, the 45 crates use (2) slats, and the CD & cassette crates use (1) slat.
  10. The crate should now be assembled.
